My 60w Red And Black Laser Cutter
This is how I cut the 1/4" Plywood into the signs, letters, and cutout pieces you guys know and love.
Was it worth it? Absolutely. I'll break the cost of entry down for anyone interested:
- $2,000 for the Laser Cutter
- $500 for refrigerated Water Cooling (Requirement as well)
- $200 for an upgraded Air Compressor (I consider this a requirement)
- $60 for Quieter In-Line Exhaust Fan (Nice to have)
- $30 for a better Lens (Nice to have)
And that's pretty much it.
If you look into these on Amazon or eBay you'll see that they come with an exhaust fan, water cooler, and air compressor.
What they don't mention is that the air compressor, water cooler, and exhaust fan they come with are absolute junk.
I did however keep the stock parts as spares in case something breaks so I can keep working while I wait for the replacements.
